The new year will change soon, and with it, it's time to map the wedding and party trends of 2024.
You may have already noticed that the 80's and 90's are on the rise and it is also reflected in the planning of the parties. Tulle has made a comeback and it's so wonderful to use it as part of a party outfit. Believe it or not, powder-toned tulles are also on the rise now. Colors and their bold combinations can be and be seen in abundance. It is particularly trendy to use different shades of blue. The saying "Something new, something old, something borrowed, something blue" probably comes to mind for many. The saying has been followed for a long time as part of the Finnish wedding tradition, which brides still adhere to today. "Something blue" is therefore related to the fact that when the bride wears blue as part of her dress on her wedding day, an unhappy marriage is avoided. So, if you're planning a wedding, blue should show up big. Imagine how wonderful a floral splendor would be created from different blue flower varieties, such as delicate light blue from a combination of pet (Myosotis) and sky blue anemone (Anemone coronaria) .
Embroidered details will take over wedding dress trends in 2024, but we would also see this as part of the table setting. What would be nicer than unique cloth napkins made for the party, with some text important to the wedding couple embroidered on it. The idea could be refined so that each wedding guest would receive their own cloth napkin as a guest gift as a souvenir. Wedding cakes have been showing vintage plush frostings for a long time, so a vintage wedding with decorative dishes and embroidery would be the perfect combination. In the coming years, classic customs and traditions will be emphasized even more. Beads have certainly always been a part of weddings, but now they are used more boldly, such as as part of print products or styling the party space. How would loose strings of pearls sound among the place settings? Amazing!
We asked our florist's thoughts and he answered that in 2024 we are moving from minimalism towards abundance and naturalness. Relaxed shapes, curved lines and airiness add naturalness to flower arrangements. Nature is strongly featured and it is trendy to pick flowers from the flower field as part of styling and bridal bouquets. Blue flowers are a minority in the flower world, but even more spectacular! One classic is Hortensia (Hydrangea), which has a huge number of different shades of blue. Hydrangea fits perfectly into spectacular settings, creating layers and abundance.
Other trends related to parties are floating cakes and flash photography. If, on the other hand, you need something new for party dressing, corsets and gloves are making a comeback. We recommend that you dive into the wonderful world of Pinterest and also follow Mevent's account. However, remember that the most important thing is to have a special holiday. Inspiring new year 2024!
