This is how you create a Midsummer mood with small details
The most beautiful, fresh and bubbly time of the year is underway. The lightness and warmth of June soothes our minds after a long winter. The splendor of nature's colors can be felt in the depths of the soul, and the senses are truly awakened by the intoxicating scent of lilac and plum.
Midsummer is just around the corner. Midsummer has its own magic and, of course, traditions are also part of many Finns' sleepless nights. Many people head to cottages and to nature, but you can easily create a Midsummer atmosphere on your own home's terrace or balcony. You don't always have to go far to get the desired feeling. Here are a few tips, for example, for city Midsummer:
Balcony - picnic
Spread a large blanket or bedspread on the balcony and throw a few pillows as a seat. A small sofa or side table can serve as a table. Get flowers from nature in a vase, light the candles in the lanterns, play the old-time chimes and put the delicacies on display. As the evening cools down, wrap yourself in a blanket and get into the mood of a nightless night.
Pavlova - Buffa
What would Midsummer be without delicacies and especially strawberry cake? As an alternative to the traditional cake, you can involve your guests in decorating the coffee table delicacies yourself. This is a nice common program number. Bake small Pavlova bases and place the bases on the table. Also display whipped cream, strawberries, kinuski sauce and mint leaves. Everyone can decorate the Pavlova with the fillings they want. A glass of fresh sparkling drink combined with pavlova is an unbeatable combination.
