Mevent Oy was founded in 2017, and in the last two years it has grown into a diamond team of 16 people. Our team can find professionals in the creative field, such as wedding planners, producers, florists, visualists and graphic artists. This year, we also invested in a brand renewal, thanks to which we launched a new wonderful website and online store in July. Now we reach even better both business and private customers. We organize weddings all over Finland, all the way from Hanko-Savonlinna to Lapland. Our comprehensive wedding planning service is used the most in the capital region in the south, styling and flower arranging service all over Finland. The rental service of the Mevent online store reaches the Pirkanmaa area.

There are parties in the banquet hall almost every day, and less often the wedding couple gets time to prepare or style the banquet hall before the morning of the wedding day. In this case, our wedding planning and styling services are a really wonderful addition. With this, the wedding couple will have time in the morning to prepare and, most importantly, they will be able to focus completely on enjoying the day. Outside the cities, the reservation situation for party venues is often more flexible, you can get a beautiful party space for the desired day with a very short reservation period. Preparations can often be made well in advance, in the days before the wedding. The service is more personal and flexible. There is no rush to undress the party space either. It can often be done in the days after the wedding.
We have been able to create the most wonderful parties this year. At the moment, it's trendy to have relaxed parties that look like a wedding couple. Wedding couples want to create experiences for their guests. The celebrations often last several days, rehearsal dinners are held before the celebrations and brunches after the wedding day. The wedding reception also features spectacular program numbers and surprises for the wedding guests, sometimes surprises for the wedding couple as well. One wedding couple had their favorite artist perform as a surprise gift. In general, live music or a famous DJ is invested in these days. Wedding ceremonies are also starting to become more personal, and the person giving the wedding ceremony or giving the wedding speech is more and more often someone close to the wedding couple or a professional performer. Weddings are increasingly being held at the venue or its courtyard.

A visual experience is created for the party guests, emphasizing the entrance to the party space, a few stylish points in the party space itself, and the setting under the eyes is made spectacular and interesting with carefully considered details. The style is often modern Scandinavian, nothing is glued on and there is no need to cover things in the party space, rather the wonderful details of the party space, columns, bay windows, etc. are emphasized. The atmosphere is created with lighting, candles and music. Two different styles can be clearly seen in the flowering. Abundant, wild garden-likeness and, on the other hand, an elegant graphic style, where each flower has a carefully considered place, both in arrangements and in bouquets. As colors, broken shades of terracotta, brown, and on the other hand, colorful and strong shades like pink and yellow. Materials and varieties are boldly combined. In the summer season, we want to favor more cut flowers cultivated as close production in blooms.
Our services also include party paper products such as invitations, signage, menu and placement cards, which are personalized according to the wedding couple's style. At the moment, the trend is raised printing and welcome texts printed on fabrics. The beautiful and delicate writings made with hand calligraphy still hold their surface.
As far as wedding catering is concerned, we have gone more in the direction of fine dining. The menu served as a plate has become more common and more time is reserved for eating than before. We want to enjoy high-quality and tasty food, which is complemented by carefully selected wines and drinks. More and more often, a stylish bar is created in the party space, where a special selection of drinks is offered. We have implemented, among other things, Mojito bars and the Pornstar Martini bar, whose drink was strongly related to the wedding couple's love story. The number of drinks has decreased, but the focus is on quality. There is also an emphasis on non-alcoholic options, and there are tasty mocktail versions of the drinks. Cocktail events to start the party have become more common. When the wedding couple is taking photos, for example, the guests are served cocktail pieces and sparkling wine. This is a wonderful gesture of attention to guests, avoiding the atmosphere of waiting.
One of our most memorable memories over the years has been when the wedding party arrived at the island wedding about 15 minutes before the ceremony on a stylish yacht.
Bestman helped the bride get to the platform safely in her wedding dress, but unfortunately she stepped over and got wet up to her waist in her dark blue party dress. The whole wedding party burst out laughing. Fortunately, it was a hot day and the wedding party found stylish dark shorts for the bestman to borrow. During Nauru's holiday, the worst tension seems to have been unleashed from the wedding couple, so it was a successful timing for the accident. The wedding ceremony was only delayed by a quarter of an hour. This is guaranteed to be a memorable story of the wedding day.
